Board of Directors

Kent Heyman | Alex Mashinsky |  Mel S. Lavitt | Carm Santoro | Timothy Wallace

Kent Heyman
Chief Executive Officer and
Chairman of the Board of Directors

Kent Heyman became Chairman of the Board of Directors in September 2005. Prior to Migo Software, Kent led the turnaround of ServiceWare Technologies, Inc., a publicly held software company, which had previously experienced an 11-year history of enormous losses, dwindling revenue, and depleted cash.

In just over 3 years, Heyman's restoration plan eliminated debt, restructured the balance sheet, and turned the company profitable, dramatically reducing expenses while achieving revenue growth. He led the company from a $30 million loss in 2001 to profitability in 2004, concluding the year with 3 consecutive quarters of positive earnings.

In 2004-2005, Kent engineered the acquisition of Kanisa, Inc., a primary competitor, effectively doubling the size of ServiceWare and creating the consensus market leader in the KM/SRM software space. During his tenure as CEO, the market capitalization of the company increased by over 1,000%. Upon consummation of the acquisition, Heyman assumed the role of Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Prior to his success at ServiceWare, Heyman was one of the founding officers in Mpower Communications, Inc (Amex: MPE), a competitive provider of telecommunications services, including local voice and broadband. As Senior Vice President and General Counsel, he directed legal, regulatory, corporate governance, and government relations, with oversight responsibility for investor relations, capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, and revenue generation.

Heyman's passion for solving business issues was honed during his 16-year tenure as one of California's leading commercial trial lawyers. Heyman received recognition from Martindale Hubbell as one of the Nation's "Preeminent Attorneys". Heyman was also a distinguished mediator, arbitrator, and served as Superior Court Judge Pro Tem.
