NTS is NComputing Terminal Server software based on proprietary UTMA technology. Its functionality is based on Microsoft Windows 2000, Windows XP Home / Professional and Windows Server 2003 operating systems. In Q2 of 2006, NTS will also support GNU-Linux operating system. NComputing Terminal Server software runs efficient on standard PCs with no additional server hardware or specific architecture required. NTS makes business critical data in Windows and Linux based applications available to all users.

| NTS consist of three different terminal server software applications NCT, NCU and NCX. NCT is NComputing terminal server software which allows multi-user access through FastEthernet lines. NCU is a special terminal server software using a USB interface to access a host PC. NCX is the dedicated terminal server software allowing multi-user access through a cable connected from the PC to the terminal, not FastEthernet environment. |
|
| The main function of NTS is connecting NComputing terminals to a central efficient server system. This can be accomplished by using a standard network interface, such as Ethernet, Internet, Homeplug (LAN/WAN~DSL/VPN) or by directly connecting an Ethernet cable from the host to the terminal. Data, video, and audio is transported from the NTS and terminal client across the dedicated network protocols, while the terminals transfer input data and commands in real-time using a mouse/keyboard to the NTS in the host PC. The Terminal remotely controls each dedicated user session in Windows and also under GNU-Linux.
In summary NTS installs and runs several Virtual Desktop Windows to be viewed by the Client Terminals using one PC. The processes performed by the PC are done by cyclic refresh and is then transferred to the Client Terminals so it can dispaly the video and audio content. Therefore, the PC is only responsible for refreshing the contents while providing a remote connection over the virtual Windows / GNU-Linux desktop. NTS automatically and dynamically distributes system resources to each connected terminal station at sufficient rates when used with Microsoft Operating Systems (Windows 2000 Professional, Windows XP Home, Professional, Media Center Edition, and Server 2003) and GNU-Linux systems that provide the functionality of multi-threading, i.e. programs and tasks can be processed simultaneously effectively and efficiently. Higher performance and Multiple Core x86 CPUs can enhance multi-task threading, heart-to-heart function, and allow a seamless operation in multi-user environments. High performance x86 PCs have been proven to provide stable and affordable hardware platforms. |

NTS only works based on NComputing UTMA(UltraThinMultiAccess) Terminal. |

The main benefit when purchasing a Terminal Server/Thin Client solution over tradition PC and other available Terminal products is the reduced administration costs compared to fat Client Server solutions. NComputing Terminal Server software NTS makes it possible to use NComputing Terminal products as an input/output device. Every application that is running on the host PC respectively runs on the Terminal Server. The administrator has full control and authority to grant certain access rights to data and applications to each individual user depending on the users needs (Central Point of Administration). The administrator can also handle central administration tasks such as: the system configuration and updates with the Management Tools that are included in the NComputing software package. Therefore, the IT administrator is also able to manage every NComputing Terminal centrally within minutes. Centralized administration and remote managing processes cut down TCO (Total Costs of Ownership), TCD (Total Costs of Deployment) and saves resources.
